There are lots of campsites all over the place which gives you lots of choice but also means that finding the right one for you and your style of holiday takes a some research. From our experience of motorhoming, finding the right site for you is actually quite important in making your holiday a success.
One place to start is Google Maps. When that web page is loaded, then just type camping wherever. So if you are looking to go to Swanage then type in camping Swanage or camping Corfe Castle to find out what sites there are close to those two places.
In addition, all of our vehicles are members of the Camping and Caravanning Club and you can use their online directory to find sites and then you can give them a call to make a booking. We also give you membership of ACSI, which is more useful on the continent, but they have a very good website, Camping Card, that allows you to search for sites with particular facilities. So if you are looking for a site with a particular feature, such as a covered swimming pool, then ACSI can help you.
From a motorhomer’s point of view, making sure you are on a bus route or have a level cycle ride in to town so you can get a loaf of bread and your favourite beer to enjoy that evening is key. Alternatively, stock up with supplies before you arrive on site – using a click-and-collect makes life very easy – so you can relax knowing you don’t have to move the vehicle if you don’t want to.
There are lots of directories and we can help you with some suggestions to get you started.
